Committee of Management

Vice President

Purpose

The Vice President supports the President in the overall management and smooth operation of the kindergarten. This role also supports assisting with fundraising efforts, strengthening community connections and fostering the collaborative spirit that keeps our kindergarten thriving.

Responsibilities

  • Approved Provider and Person with Management and Control of a service 

  • Attend Committee meetings

  • Deputise for the Chairperson/ President (if required)

  • Be involved in recruitment of new staff (when required)

  • Manages advertising for kindergarten

  • Assist in matters regarding complaints and disputes

  • Primary organiser of the annual Open Day

  • Responsible for assisting fundraising officer with fundraising plan for the Kinder at commencement of year

  • Assist in organisation of fundraising events e.g. Annual Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

  • Voting rights on the Committee

  • May require people management and budget management when backfilling the President

  • Interest in making a difference within the community.

  • People Leadership.

  • Ability to develop rapport with teams, volunteers and government agencies.

  • Ability to provide calculated opinion in group discussions at committee meetings.

  • Considerate of others and/or conflicting ideas and opinions.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to identify fundraising opportunities and organise.

This position requires a Volunteer Working with Children's Check (WWC) and will be subject to a National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment.
