Play Based
Learning Experiences
We support children’s learning through the following experiences.
Art Exploration
Children explore various art techniques and mediums through collaborative experiences, using materials like paint, clay, wood and textiles. Art activities foster fine motor skills, cognitive development, creativity and imagination.
Dramatic Play
This play helps children explore perspectives, understand concepts, and learn about their world. With props and real objects, they engage in role play to deepen their understanding of people and their place in society.
Sensory Play
Children explore sensory mediums like clay, paint, playdough and water, engaging their whole bodies in messy, hands-on learning. These activities build physical skills, encourage problem-solving and foster creativity.
Building Blocks
Block play fosters cognition, problem-solving, spatial awareness, persistence and imagination. It is a vital, open-ended learning experience in kindergarten.
Outdoor Learning Environment
In our natural outdoor space, children develop cognitive, motor, and social skills through play. They explore gardening, eco-systems, and sustainability and gain skills to become empowered global citizens.
Sand & Mud Play
Sand and mud play encourages experimentation, role play and sharing while fostering early math, science and motor skills through exploring shapes, textures and coordination.
Books & Stories
Early literacy grows through reading and storytelling, helping children connect with the world. Kindergarten is a wonderful time to nurture a love of literature with young children.
Excursions & Incursions
Our Educators plan excursions, incursions and local outings to enrich learning, foster community awareness and provide hands-on experiences.
Group Time
Throughout the day, children participate in group activities like stories, games, songs and dances, learning social skills such as turn-taking, listening and following instructions.
