OH&S and Policy Officer
Purpose
The OH&S and Policy Officer ensures the kindergarten remains a safe, compliant and well-governed environment for children, families and staff. This role involves developing, reviewing and updating occupational health and safety and policy documents in line with State Government and ELAA guidelines and communicating any updates to the Committee.

Responsibilities

Report to the Committee on OH&S matters

Liaise with the Director to ensure OH&S policy and Emergency management plan implementation at an operational level
-
Ensure that first aid qualifications are up-to-date and organise education as needed in consultation with Director and staff

Undertake site inspections with Director/ Staff OH&S every term
-
Work with Director to ensure all Kinder Policies are current and operational
-
Read and review all new or amended policies and present them to the Committee for approval

Maintain the Policy register

This position requires a Volunteer Working with Children's Check (WWC) and will be subject to a National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment.
