Optional Extra Day of Kinder (Echidna A group – 22.50 hours )
Families can purchase an extra day of four-year-old kinder at an additional cost, and attend Mon, Wed & Fri. The extra day (7.5 hours) of Kinder is not subsidised by the government and costs $850 per term.
*This timetable may be subject to change due to funding requirements and demand.
Funded “Free” Kindergarten
The Victorian Government has offers "Free Kinder" to all 3 & 4yo programs for up to 15 hours per week.
A child can access funded “Free” kindergarten program, at one service at a time in line with normal kindergarten funding guidelines. This includes requiring that a parent / carer for all enrolled children sign a form (provided by DET) to confirm that this is their funded kindergarten program.
This funding is paid directly to the kindergarten and does not attract the Child Care Subsidy as paid to Long Day Care providers.

Fees for 2024 (Subject to Change)
- 4yo & 3yo fees based on 15 hours $620 per term. (under “Free Kinder” this fee will not be charged in 2024)
- Plus $100 non-refundable enrolment fee. (under “Free Kinder” this fee is voluntary in 2023)
- Plus $150 Family Involvement Levy (under “Free Kinder” this fee is voluntary in 2023)
- EXTRA DAY: Echidna A group, 22.5 hours, Mon, Wed, Fri. Additional Day 7.5 hours free is $850 per term (unfunded day) Invoiced at commencement and at the end of each term for the next term.

Registration Process
Hampton Community Kindergarten participates in the Central Registration scheme operated by Bayside City Council. Registration must be completed online via Bayside City Council. Kindergarten places are allocated according to priority of access criteria which are regularly reviewed. Information regarding the criteria for the Bayside Central Registration scheme can be obtained from the Council’s website

Bayside City Council manages the waitlist and subsequent rounds of offers please refer to the Bayside City Council for 2024 enrolment application and offer dates.
Bayside Kinder OPEN Weekend will be held on the 29th & 30Th April 2023.
Hampton Community Kindergarten will hold an open day on Saturday 29th April from 10am-12pm.
Kinder Registrations open on Monday 1st May, through Bayside City Council.
