COVID-19 and General Illness
We have risk mitigation procedures that are updated in accordance with the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health and Human Services. Below is an overview of some of the measures that are in place.
Vaccinations
We strongly encourage our staff, volunteers and any other visiting bodies to stay up to date with their covid-19 vaccinations.
Other Illnesses
There are many illnesses that do the rounds at kinder. To help stop the spread, please always notify your teachers of any illness your child has, and keep them home until they are well again. This includes a 48 hour exclusion period when children have been throwing up or have runny bowel motions.
We thank-you for your assistance.
- Please only visit kinder if you are well and symptom free. Children with any symptoms need to remain home until they are well.
- If children do test positive please let us know so that we can notify families. The identity of sick children will always remain confidential.
- We encourage regular handwashing throughout the day including before mealtimes. Children who become unwell are sent home as soon as practicable.
- Parents who are unwell can wear a mask and drop children to the front door of kinder – please remain outside.
- Our teachers conduct thorough cleaning throughout the session, and always have done as standard practice. In addition to our usual daily cleans, our cleaners carry out cleaning each evening including high touch areas.
